Conscious breathing to connect to Spirit
I am finding it interesting when we talk of mindful breathing it has become labeled as new agey. As if it's trendy to breathe. Breathing is our first sign we have arrived in this life form. Without it we would not be here. We have taken it for granite because it automatic. It is our breath of life and we must care for it. If you can command the breath of life and consciously breathe, you can be in command of your life and environments will relate to you as per your wish.
"If you do not breathe consciously for 11 minutes a day, you lose 40% of the vitality of life. This 40% you cannot recapture by any medicine or any exercise. But if you do breathe consciously for 11 minutes and make it very long, deep, and slow breathing, that can do exactly what no miracle can do, because our life is based on the breath of life."
31 minutes of mechanical breathing can give you better health than you ever had before. It can give you strength beyond understanding. It can give you answers for every question, which you can't even imagine.
Anyone who breathes consciously for 2-1/2 hours during the 24 hours, which is one-tenth of the day, automatically is given all knowledge, all consciousness, etc. etc.
Breathing deeply brings a radiance that surrounds your essence and this is what attracts people to you. Its strength, depends how deeply you consume praana and how many times during the day you try to breathe consciously - mechanically."
"Your mind stops automatically when you are doing a mechanical breath.
Conscious relationship with praana is the conscious relationship with Divine Consciousness.

Conscious breathing to heal the body
Practicing conscious breathing can help us to improve our sleep, reduce stress, and boost overall health. Many common health ailments can be at least somewhat alleviated simply by making a conscious effort to breathe slowly and deeply. These include high blood pressure, migraine headaches, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, depression, asthma, and insomnia.
Deep inhalations provide pain relief, stress reduction, better sleep and clearer thinking.

Breathe deeply and slowly ~ When breathing is automatic, our breath is shallow. When breathing deeply and slowly, the effect is more relaxing. This also gives you more to focus on, controlling your thoughts.

A benefit to conscious breathing is it allows you to be more mindful. Mindfulness essentially is meditation that can be done at any time in everyday life. It entails being wholly and fully present in the here and now, this very moment. Meditation is not just a time we set aside to 'do'. It is something we should be engaged in all day long and mindful breathing carries out this moment as we walk with a higher consciousness.
